Explanation of Quranic verses 17-18 Surat Anbiaa

This seems to be a verse from the Qur'an, which is considered the holy book of Islam.

The verse says that if Allah (God) had wanted to take a wife or a son, He could have done so, but He did not. Instead, Allah sent down the truth, which is the Quran, to combat falsehood or disbelief. The verse suggests that those who ascribe a wife or son to Allah speak a lie and will face consequences for their actions.

Explanation of Quranic verses 17-18 Surat Anbiaa

In Islamic theology, Allah is considered the one and only God and does not have partners, spouses or children. The concept of attributing these human characteristics to Allah is seen as a form of shirk or idolatry, which is considered a major sin in Islam.

Important note:
All in all, this verse focuses on the importance of adhering to the truth and avoiding falsehood.

Explanation of Quranic verses 17-18 Surat Anbiaa.

Surat Al Anbiya verse 17 -

Had We intended to take a pastime (i.e. a wife or a son, etc.), We could surely have taken it from Us, if We were going to do (that).

Surat Al Anbiya verse 18 -

Nay, We fling (send down) the truth (this Quran) against the falsehood (disbelief), so it destroys it, and behold, it (falsehood) is vanished. And woe to you for that (lie) which you ascribe (to Us) (against Allah by uttering that Allah has a wife and a son).
